What we believe
We believe in building community. Our sites across the State of New York are safe spaces with welcoming atmospheres for at risk youth and people affected by the justice system. Our trained and highly qualified staff have all been personally impacted by the justice system and are uniquely positioned to help participants succeed.
We believe in the importance of access to necessities. We know how difficult it is to survive after incarceration, especially when it comes to the basics. We provide hot meals, transportation aid, access to housing and interview attire to ensure our participants are successful.
We believe in holistic support. Our programs equip participants with the tools and mentorship to define and meet their goals in all the important areas of life — employment, education, family relationships, community service, health and fitness, and spirituality.
We believe in personalized guidance. We see each person as an individual, with dreams, talent and needs unique to them. That’s why our assigned contract coaches and job developers approach each Exodus participant with a listening ear, thoughtful attention, and flexibility.
