How we work
The Wilderness Re-entry Program. We seek to address the barriers justice-involved people experience when seeking employment. The program provides jobseekers with a two week-long, soft-skills job-readiness training, where participants learn how to create a resume and cover-letter, participate in mock interview sessions, engage in group discussions about the challenges of reentry, acceptance, guilt, and external influences, and learn coping mechanisms to manage stress.
Wellness Center Programs. Our Wellness Center uses a compassionate, participant-focused approach providing substance use and behavioral health treatment and recovery support. Our 822 OASAS licensed facility, our staff of credentialed CASACs (Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselors), nurses, and our doctor develop a personalized treatment plan for each participant. They then receive outpatient services, group therapy sessions three days per week, and weekly, individual meetings with their counselor.
Mentorship and Education Programs. We provide a strong mentorship resources for adults and youth, both partnering with organizations like Hope For New York and working with our own team of mentors. We also provide educational support from computer literacy to college prep and other vocational training our participants have interest in and will benefit from.
